Spend the day opening yourself to the creative process through text discussion, art making and writing.
This one day workshop with Pat B. Allen, celebrated artist, author and pioneering art therapist, invites us to take a deep dive into the creative process. Lingering in the exploration and handling of materials, we will experience the pleasure and the challenge as the image unfolds, before we even know the outcome. All people are creative. The creative process is really the birthright of all of us. But, sometimes we encounter obstacles to accessing our own inner wisdom. We all long to express ourselves in our own unique ways, to connect meaningfully with other people, to have an impact on our community, and to influence our culture—to belong. We invite the idea that within the creative process is where our deepest longing can be explored, where the necessary vulnerability of authentic expression can be held and safely experienced. Please join us to explore your creativity in this one day workshop. Come away with a connection to your creative source and an appreciation of the way your Process can inform your practice, as an artist and in your work in the world.
